Asbestos Awareness training
“What You Don’t Know Can Harm You.”
Asbestos doesn’t look dangerous—but disturbing it can be fatal. Still found in thousands of buildings across the UK, asbestos exposure is the leading cause of work-related deaths. It only takes one mistake to put lives at risk.
If your team works on-site, in maintenance, construction, or refurbishment, they could encounter asbestos without even knowing it. That’s why Asbestos Awareness Training isn’t optional—it’s essential.
This course gives your staff the practical knowledge to recognise asbestos-containing materials (ACMs), avoid accidental exposure, and follow the correct procedures if they discover or disturb asbestos. You’ll also learn how to stay compliant with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (CAR 2012).
Protect your people. Protect your business. Get trained—and get peace of mind..

Module 3: Discovery or Accidental Disturbance of Asbestos
What happens if you come across asbestos on the job? This module prepares your team for exactly that. Whether asbestos is suspected, discovered, or accidentally disturbed, knowing what to do next is critical.
We’ll walk through the immediate actions to take, how to minimise exposure, and the correct emergency procedures to follow. It’s about staying calm, staying safe, and protecting everyone on site—because quick, informed decisions can make all the difference.
Module 1: The Risks from Asbestos
Think you’ve never seen asbestos? Think again. This module reveals what asbestos looks like, where it hides, and why it’s still one of the most dangerous substances in the workplace today.
You’ll learn how people are exposed—often without realising—and understand the serious health risks, including life-threatening asbestos-related diseases. We also break down the concept of friability (how easily asbestos fibres can be released into the air) and what that means for everyday tasks on site.
By the end of this module, your team will know what to look for, what to avoid, and why staying alert can save lives.
Module 2: Managing and Controlling the Risk of Exposure
Knowing there’s a risk isn’t enough—you need to know how to manage it. This module dives into the key responsibilities under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (CAR 2012) and shows how to take practical steps to stay compliant and safe.
Learn how to carry out asbestos risk assessments, control exposure on-site, and what to do if something doesn’t feel right. From raising concerns to following the right procedures, this module gives your team the confidence to act fast—and act correctly—when it matters most.
